1. Introduction of PER-01 Bottle Perpendicularity Tester

PER-01 Bottle Perpendicularity Tester is used to measure the verticality or vertical axis deviation of bottles, vials, ampoules, containers, etc. It comprises a base fitted with a precious rotatable plate with a three-or four-jaw self-centering chuck, and a vertical pillar carrying a digital gauge which is adjustable with regard to height and length.

4. Principle of Bottle Perpendicularity Tester

Rotate the plate through 360° and record to the nearest 0.001 mm, the minimum and maximum distance of the outside of the finish from a fixed point on the same horizontal plane.

Take as the vertical deviation, half the difference between the maximum and minimum distance measured.

Horizontal deviation of the centre of the container finish from a theoretical vertical line through the centre of the base. This deviation is equal to half the diameter of the circle described by the centre of the finish when the bottle rotates around the vertical axis through the centre of the base.
