ASTM D5458 describes a test method for testing the peel adhesion of clear polyethylene stretch wrap films. Stretch wrap is commonly used in the logistics and packaging industries to secure multiple boxes to a pallet. Multiple layers of film are often used to enhance the overall durability of the entire package.

This durability strength is determined by the tensile strength of the stretch wrap and the resistance of the peel adhesion.
