The percent of shrinkage is displayed on the screen while the specimen is still under tension and exposed to heat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ASTM D5591 shrink rate test:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A specified length of yarn or cord is fixed at a grip and the other end is mounted with a pretension mass, then the mass is removed and the end was connected to a loadcell.
